John Jovaneli, Owner |
- John Jovaneli is the owner of LTE and is not new to the automotive industry. Going to college originally for Mechanical Engineering, he ended up completing a BS in Accounting that has helped him with his entrepreneurship goals to properly set up and run a business. He worked for multiple luxury car OEM's (BMW and Mercedes-Benz) throughout the late 2000's and 2010's, learning how major companies provided top knotch service experiences as well as learning the ins and outs of how a service shop is meant to run. John also worked in the racing industry early in his career for the Pirelli World Challenge, where he found a lot for the racing side of the automotive world.
After jumping around to multiple states, John settled down with a family in Charleston, SC and decided to open up two automotive repair shops in the area. Longtail Engineering was his answer to the classic car owners who seemed to have nowhere else to go in the Charleston area. John met Michael Baldino in 2021, and over the years developed a relationship with Michael that ended up culminating in the opening of Longtail Engineering in early 2026.
